Hybryn Privacy Policy

Hybryn ("we", "us", "the app") is an AI fitness coach. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, how we store it, and your choices.

What we access

When you connect your Intervals.icu account (via an API key or via OAuth), we read your training and wellness data from Intervals.icu: activities, training load, heart rate, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, steps, weight, and any nutrition entries you have logged. With OAuth we request read access to your wellness and activity data, read access to your settings (such as your training zones), and calendar-write access so the coach can add planned workouts to your Intervals.icu calendar. We never modify or delete your recorded activities or wellness data, and you see exactly what you authorize. You may also enter data directly in the app (for example goals, daily check-ins, weight, or meal adherence).

How we use it

We use your data to generate your daily coaching recommendation and to answer your questions in the coach chat. To produce the AI coaching, the relevant fitness data is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), which processes it to generate the response. Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API to train its models. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

How we store it

Your connection credentials (API key or OAuth tokens) are encrypted at rest. Your fitness data is stored in our database to power the app. Access is restricted to your own account.

We also store your coach conversations (the messages you send and the coach's replies) so the thread survives a refresh and you can pick it back up later. If you additionally turn on coach memory in settings, we store durable facts your coach infers about you (for example an injury or a schedule constraint); memory is off by default, and you can turn it off or clear it at any time. You can also ask us to delete your conversations by emailing us (below).

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers required to run Hybryn: Anthropic (the AI coaching) and our hosting and infrastructure providers. We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to anyone.

Waitlist

Hybryn is currently in a closed beta. If you sign in with Intervals.icu and your account is not yet on our access list, we do not create an account for you. Instead, we show a "not open yet" screen where you can optionally join a waitlist.

• What we store: your Intervals.icu athlete id (the identifier returned when you authorize), and, only if you tick the consent box, the email address you enter. We do not store your name.
• Lawful basis: your consent. We record your email and consent only when you explicitly tick the box, together with the time and version of the consent.
• Retention: we keep your waitlist entry until we launch and invite you, or for up to 12 months, whichever comes first. If we do not launch, we delete it.
• Withdraw or erase: email us (below) at any time to withdraw your consent and have your waitlist entry deleted. If you are later granted access and sign in, your matching waitlist entry is removed.

Your choices and rights

• You can disconnect Intervals.icu at any time, which stops any further access to your data.
• With OAuth, you can revoke access directly from your Intervals.icu account settings.
• You can request an export or deletion of your data by emailing us (below).

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal data, except where we are legally required to retain it.

Changes
